I believe that every child can be successful when given the right tools and support.
I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. My experiences helping my brother with Williams Syndrome gave me a well-rounded perspective with regards to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities. Watching him struggle during his school years solidified my decision to become an educator.
I graduated from Elmhurst College with my Bachelor's in Special Education. While earning my degree, I worked as a one-to-one aide and quickly realized how powerful one-on-one instruction is. Upon graduation, I taught Life Skills in the high school setting. From there, I went on to teach pre-k and then elementary-aged students in both the self-contained and resource setting.
For the past year, I have been working from home as a special education online tutor and absolutely love it!
