Teachers1on1 Honor Code
The purpose of the Honor Code is to promote academic integrity at Teachers1on1 while providing teachers and
students with a platform to champion student success. All teachers and students are subject to this Honor Code,
in addition to Teacher1on1's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy,
It is Teachers1on1's mission to provide students with first-class tutoring from accredited educators.
Teacher1on1's services should not be used or accessed to further any forms of academic dishonesty, plagiarism,
cheating by students or teachers, or any other action that would defeat our mission. To state plainly,
Teachers1on1 cannot support cheating of any kind. Cheating does nothing to further students' long-term academic
progress, which is our objective. In addition to the Teachers1on1 Honor Code, students are encouraged to review
and follow their respective school's honor code.
If we become aware of an infraction of our Honor Code, Teachers1on1 reserves the right to deny, limit or
terminate platform access to the violator immediately.
Code of Conduct
Teachers1on1 is an open community of students (ages 3 & up), parents, and teachers. Our platform allows qualified
teachers to provide quality education from anywhere in the US. These tutoring sessions are offered by
independent teachers, who determine the content and format of their own classes.
In order to ensure that students receive the best supplemental education possible, it is critical that
Teachers1on1 is a safe space for our users. All users of our platform should treat each other without bias or
prejudice across all pillars of diversity including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual
orientation, religion, and gender identity. All users of Teachers1on1 platforms and services must abide by this
Code of Conduct and are subject to Teacher1on1's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. This Code of Conduct includes
some guidelines that we ask our members to observe. Teachers1on1 members who do not meet or abide by these
guidelines will be removed from the site, which can be done by Teachers1on1 without warning and at our sole
discretion.

Class content policy Teachers1on1 classes should be objective, secular, and age-appropriate
Teachers1on1 sessions should be unbiased, inclusive of all students, and intentionally designed to represent
diverse
viewpoints fairly and accurately. This ensures that all educators, students, and families feel welcome on our
platform and can expect a positive experience in their Teachers1on1 classroom. We've detailed our policies for
class
content below, and teachers should observe these guidelines when designing class curricula and submitting
listings
for approval.
Teachers1on1 classes should be secular. Two topic areas where this is particularly relevant
are:
- Religion: Do not promote a specific religion or religious point of view, or share your
personal religious beliefs with your students. When teaching a class where it is necessary to address
religion,
such as a history or culture class, take an unbiased, objective approach. At times, it may be beneficial to
present an opposing viewpoint. Please use your discretion
- Holidays with Religious Origins: Some holidays are rooted in a certain religion, which
will require teachers to address that specific religion. Please be sure to make factual and objective
statements
that in no way promote religion. If you are doing any exercises that contain songs or activities, they
should be of a secular nature. Again, please take a neutral standpoint and do not disclose your own personal
religion or viewpoint
Teachers1on1 classes should be inclusive. To achieve this, consider how you will:
- Be Inclusive of Gender & Sexual Identity: Ensure students of all genders and
sexual
identities are welcome in your classroom. Do not use exclusionary language, such as "For Girls
Only,"
in your listings. Please be mindful of different gender identities and be careful not to misgender or use
pronouns that the student is not comfortable with you using
- Be Inclusive of Different Cultures: Students and Teachers on our Platform come from
diverse backgrounds. Please be respectful of the myriad cultures that users on the platform represent
- Be Inclusive of Different Socioeconomic Backgrounds: Our mission is to provide
equitable
access to education for students of all walks of life. Please note that we will have students that access
our
platform from various avenues (e.g. after-school programs, scholarships, juvenile and correctional
facilities).
Be mindful of this when creating lessons for students to ensure we are setting them up for success
